Tissa has two grammar school equivalent schools and this is the second one, situated very close to a beautiful tank on the outskirts of the town.

This is a school we would like to do a lot more work with in the future starting with the IT lab.

Like many of the central colleges, Sri Dewananda got computers 10-years ago.

However, they have never been replaced and the school does not have a budget for IT parts.

Therefore of the 21 computers it was originally given only seven are now working.

Our hardware manager will be doing an assessment of the computers and we plan to upgrade the computers, which can still be fixed.

We would also like to renovate the school library, which is also very old and not big enough for both a junior and senior school.

In particular, we would like to turn the adjoining stock room (pictured above) into a junior school library.
