• Tissa MV's IT teacher and her spare parts
This is one of Tissa's biggest schools and is situated in the middle of the town, in front of the police station.

The new principal, Mr Premadasa, was formerly at Gamanapura School and we have known him for some years.

His main priority is to upgrade the school, which has many crumbling buildings.

Many of its facilities are also extremely old. The library, for example, is full of books, which are literally falling apart and stuck together with tape.

There is also a computer lab with 20 computers, but they were donated 10 years ago and only four are still working. The government has said it will not replace them with new ones.

Nuwan, one of the computer teachers from our Mahasenpura Community Computer Centre (MCCC), has been able to repair about five of the computers.

At the beginning of 2014, we were also able to donate two old computers from the MCCC (Mahasenpura Community Computer Centre), which were still working but we wanted to replace as they are used 24/7.
